I have a Low D and it is a fantastic whistle. It has an easy blow for such a big sound. Good amount of chiff and it's easy to push the tone of the notes around. A very strong bottom D. 5 stars out of 5

Hello, the soprano D that I ordered arrived last week, sooner than I expected - thank you.

Here are a few comments that may be of assistance to somebody.

Though in one review the soprano whistles are described as "very very loud" I did not find that to be the case at least with the all brass fipple in D. In comparison the volume is similar to a Dixon DX-Trad and perhaps less brash in the first octave.

The whistle still has good volume with latitude, the second octave is not overpowering and neither was it hard to play in breath-wise.

Another review commented about having the 3rd finger down for the C-nat but perhaps because of my inexperience I found the difference very small between 2 and 3 and it probably has more relevance when the C-nat is blown harder.

Overall the whistle has a nice balance both in tone and in play. Thanks again to JOB Whistles.

Incredible instrument. I received the Low D Whistle recently and getting used to the pipers grip as I'm not used to that. I come from a background of playing the guitar so I still need to do more practice at the Low Whistle to get better at it. The Low Whistle is incredible crafted and the sound it has is really beautiful, very clear tones. It's certainly worth getting if you want to try something new. Thank you John O’Brien for making great instruments. Keep creating.

Go raibh míle maith agat.
